The Countries With The Most Women In National Parliament



Yesterday was International Women's Day, an important occasion to highlight key strides made by women around the world. During the 2018 midterms, a record-breaking number of women were elected to Congress in the United States. Despite that groundbreaking success, there is more work to do. According to the inter-parliamentary union, the U.S. comes joint 76th globally by share of women in the lower house of parliament with 23.6 percent. Rwanda comes first with 61.3 percent, followed by Cuba with 53.2 percent and Bolivia with 53.1 percent. Read more.
